A spring-like weather system gave us the warm temperatures yesterday and again for today the highs will be in the mid-to-upper 70s. The warm weather could help trigger some strong storms this afternoon and tonight and possibly even hanging on until Wednesday morning. The main threat to our area will be gusty winds, some dangerous lightning or small hail—if a storm happens to pop up in your area.
The best time for these storms will be scattered activity around noon and then the best chance will be after 4 this afternoon. There could also be periods of heavy downpours if one of the storms is slow to move from our area. Granted, that is subject to change since that is over a week away.
